Summer Explorer Program Leader - Part-Time/Seasonal
Summer Explorers is a program that keeps children age 7-12 active and entertained during the summer months. We meet at our parks and facilities a few days a week for sports, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and more! Summer Explorer leaders are tasked with the supervision and well-being of the children enrolled in the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist other Summer Explorer Leaders in the supervision of up to 100 children
• Assist with the set-up and clean-up of daily events and activities.
• Work to develop positive relationships with the children in the program by playing game and having a good time. Our leaders are not babysitters!
• Ensure that all program rules and policies are followed by the participants.
• Work to meet parent needs and address concerns.
• Administer first aid to program participants when needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Commitment to a positive, fun, and team-oriented working environment.
• Ability to work effectively with children of all ages and abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
• Applicants must be at least 15 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and be outside in the elements for hours at a time.

Clarksville Cove Guest Services Representative - Part-Time/Seasonal
This is a seasonal position that reports directly to the Aquatic Manager. This position will work in three areas (Admissions, Concessions, Pool Deck) of the Aquatic Center. Hours vary pre- and post-season, but are 25-35 per week when the Aquatic Center is open late May – mid August.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Works as admissions cashier, taking payments, answering phone calls, answering questions
• Sells merchandise out of the admission kiosk
• Works as concessions cashier
• Cooks as needed and prepares drinks
• Enforces splash pad, waterslide, and facility rules on the pool deck
• Helps with the daily cleaning and maintenance of the Aquatic Center
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be 15 years of age prior to start date
• Cashier and money handling experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the public
• The ability to work in an outdoor, summer environment
• The ability to work in a high-energy multi-tasking environment

Clarksville Cove Lifeguard - Part-Time/Seasonal
This is a seasonal position that reports directly to the Aquatic Manager. Lifeguards are responsible for actively maintaining safety and responding to emergencies. Hours vary pre- and post-season, but are 25-35 per week when the Aquatic Center is open late May – mid August. Candidate must be able to work prior to the season for startup and after the season for shutdown.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Guard the lap pool
• Supervise patron activity to ensure safety
• Enforce facility and health department rules
• Maintain professionalism while enforcing rules and disciplining when necessary
• Supervise splash pads and slides when not actively guarding
• Assist in maintaining a clean facility when not actively guarding
• Provide first aid when needed, and respond quickly and efficiently in case of emergency.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the public
• The ability to work in a high-energy multi-tasking environment
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Lifeguard certification, or the ability to obtain certification by May 21

The Clarksville Parks and Recreation District is accepting applications for a part-time laborer’s position to assist in the maintenance and repair of parks and recreation facilities. The person will be responsible for mowing, landscaping, upkeep of park areas, and the general repair and cleaning of buildings and facilities. Position includes work on evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather. Weekend only positions also available. Staff are mainly needed March-October, but schedules are flexible.
