Golden Years Games

A $5 gift card to a local business will be awarded to the winners. On Miscellaneous Games day (no prize), bring your own game or play one provided by us. Co-sponsored by Riverview Village.  Pre-registration not required for these FREE games that take place every Thursday.

Introduction to Weaving

If you are new to weaving and need help getting started, then you’re in the right place! Learn to weave on a two-harness table loom and create a table runner or sampler for your home. A Loom is the structure that you use to give your weave support and tension as you work.

All supplies are included in the class price. Ages 12 years to adults welcome.

Card Making

In this class you will learn a variety of techniques to create beautiful cards that reflect just how much you care.  Let Wanda show you how fun and easy card making can be. This is a great place to share your creative ideas with others who share your passion for card making!

 

Class 3:  Mother's Day and All Occasion

Students will create a variety of cards in this class. Some cards will focus on Mother's Day and the others are great for any occasion.

 

Class 4:  Father's Day and All Occasion

In this session, students will prepare for Father's Day by making holiday focused cards, complemented by all occasion cards!

Amending Your Garden Soil After a Test

After a soil test, it is often a challenge interpreting the results and knowing how to amend garden soils appropriately. This class will take participants through how to take soil samples, where to send them for testing and what to do when the results are obtained.

Healthy Korean Cooking

This series of classes is designed to teach proper cooking techniques for healthy Korean cuisine. Each week is designated a delicious Korean dish, with all ingredients and materials supplied by the instructor!

 

May 16: Kim Bap - Korean rice rolls resembling sushi, made with various vegetables, dried kelp, seafood and meats all rolled together.

 

May 23: Bi Bim Bap - A bowl of warm rice covered with sautéed and seasoned vegetables, meat, and other desired toppings.

 

May 30: Bulgogi - Literally "fire meat." This is a Korean grilled dish made with thin, marinated slices of beef or pork.

 

June 6: Chapchae - A sweet and savory holiday dish containing stir fried glass noodles, colorful vegetables and marinated meat.

 

June 13: Dak Dori Tang - Spicy chicken dish made with carrots, potatoes, green onions, and other delicious herbs and spices.

 

June 20: Duen Jang Jigae - Korean stew with a broth of anchovies and bean paste boiled together with kelp and a variety of vegetables.

Landscape Painting

This class offers time to learn skills about pencil drawing, acrylic painting, and watercolor painting all outdoors! Be prepared to learn about art by using subjects such as landscapes and architecture throughout Southern Indiana. The first class will meet the Falls of the Ohio State Park and future locations will be announced each week. Students will receive a bag full of

hand-picked art materials to complete the class.

Intro to Korean Language
