Our list of special events is updated seasonally.  Some special events require pre-registration, so be sure to read the event description closely.

 

CLARKSVILLE LITTLE LEAGUE REGISTRATION

Children who play sports experience physical fitness while having fun and establishing lifelong habits of good health. Studies show that children who participate in youth sports have higher self-esteem, develop better social interaction skills, and are less likely to engage in risky behaviors. Clarksville offers organized baseball and softball leagues for children between the ages of 3-16.  The league is operated by an independent board of parents and volunteers.  Register online by clicking the "Register Online" link, or in person at the Clarksville Community Center during the dates/times below.

BINGO FOR KIDS (AND PARENTS)  (SORRY, THIS EVENT IS FULL)

Who says Bingo is just for adults? Kids ages 5-17 are invited to join us at the Clarksville Community Center for a night of Bingo fun, and a chance to win prizes. Kids must be accompanied by at least one adult, but feel free to bring the whole family. This is a FREE event, but kids must be registered in advance. Adults do not need to be registered, but they must have at least one child registered in order to attend.

LET'S GET CRAFTY...AND DRINK WINE

Making a craft is fun, but its even better with good friends and a little wine! Grab a friend or a date and join us at Endris Lodge in Lapping Park for a night of crafting. The folks from Wholly Rustic in Georgetown, Indiana will guide you step by step to how to make a “Love Board” to take home at the end of the evening. All supplies for the craft will be provided. While you work, our friends from Miracle Winery in Fredericksburg, Indiana will be on hand serving a series of delicious wines. Crafts and wine...what could go wrong? (Wine sold separately - not included with registration fee. Some small snacks included with wine purchase.)

VALENTINE'S DATE NIGHT

Love is in the air, and that means date night for Mom and Dad. Why leave the kids at home with a babysitter when they can join us for the best party in town (for kids at least)? Children ages 5-12 are invited to join us for a night of games, sports, crafts, and more. Once the kids are worn out from all the fun, we will enjoy some pizza for dinner. We’ll end the night with a movie on the big screen. The fee is just $5 per child! You can’t beat that for a night of fun (or babysitting).  Space is limited, so register early!

SENIOR ICE CREAM SOCIAL

Take a step back in time by joining us for an old-fashioned ice cream social. Seniors ages 55 years old and up are invited to stop by and make new friends and enjoy some ice cream. While you eat your dessert, enjoy tunes from the past performed by Guitarist Nick Nichols. He will be playing some of your favorite tunes from the 50’s, 60’s, and beyond, as well as providing a few laughs.

JUNIOR POLICE ACADEMY

The Clarksville Police Department is searching for some new recruits to become our newest Junior Police Officers. Kids ages 5-12 will participate in a mini-police training camp including laser tag, a K9 demonstration, an inflatable obstacle course, and checking out some cool police vehicles. If they meet the challenge, participants will be sworn in as our newest junior officers, and receive certificates and junior police officer t-shirts.  In order to accommodate as many children as possible, we will be holding two sessions of this event.  Both sessions will be exactly the same.

 

Location: Gateway Park - 500 Little League Boulevard, Clarksville

Date: Saturday, April 6th

Time: Session One (10:00am-11:30am) - Session Two (12:00pm-1:30pm)

Fee: $5 - (Register by 3/29)

Min/Max: 20/100 Per Session

EASTER EGG HUNT

Join us at Clarksville’s Gateway Park as kids ages 1-12 are invited to hunt for Easter eggs filled with candy. During the hunt, be on the lookout for our special prize eggs which could allow you to take home a special Easter basket filled with goodies. The hunt starts right at 10:00am and last just minutes, so don’t be late! After the hunt, the Easter Bunny will be on hand to take pictures with the kids.
