Our list of special events is updated seasonally.  Some special events require registration in advance, so be sure to read the event description closely.

 

BINGO FOR KIDS

Who says Bingo is just for adults? Kids ages 5-17 are invited to join us at the Clarksville Community Center for a night of Bingo fun, and a chance to win prizes. Kids must be accompanied by at least one adult. This is a FREE event, but kids must be registered in advance. Adults do not need to be registered, but they must have at least one child registered in order to attend.

 

Location: Clarksville Community Center - 2311 Sam Gwin Drive, Clarksville

Date: Wednesday, July 24th

Time: 6:30-8:00pm

Fee: FREE - (Register by 7/19)

TOUCH-A-TRUCK

When you were a kid, did you ever see a cool truck on the road and wish you could get behind the wheel? Your children will have the chance to do just that at our annual kids’ Touch-A-Truck event at Gateway Park. Children will be able to get up close and personal with the cool trucks and construction equipment they see on the road everyday. Vehicles include police cruisers, fire trucks, construction equipment, limousines, box trucks, and much more! Registration not required for this FREE event.

 

After Touch-A-Truck, stick around for our movie in Gateway Park. We’ll be showing “Lego Movie 2” beginning at dusk. Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair for the movie!

MOVIE IN THE PARK - "LEGO MOVIE 2"

It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.  Starring the voices of Chris Pratt, Jonah Hill, Mayah Rudolph, and more.  Admission is FREE and the movie will begin at sundown.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!  Coolers are welcome, but we will also have a concession stand selling fresh popcorn, candy, and drinks.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE

Join us for the 21st annual Clarksville Community Yard Sale at Gateway Park! You provide the used goodies and we provide the space and advertising. $20 gets you two parking spaces in Little League Park’s parking lot (one space for your booth and one space to park a car behind your booth). There is a $10 late fee for registrations made after deadline. Vendors may purchase more than one space. If you would like to be close to another vendor, please register together. Food vendors or commercial vendors not permitted. Tables and chairs not provided. Event will proceed rain or shine. Participants may set up at 7am.

 

Due to safety reasons, vendor vehicles WILL NOT be able to leave the parking lot until the event ends at Noon.  Vendors MUST arrive by 8:30am to participate.

MOVIE IN THE PARK - "LITTLE GIANTS" (90's THROWBACK)

Danny O'Shea has forever lived in the shadow of his brother, the great football player Kevin O'Shea. Kevin was stronger, faster, and more popular. But when his daughter is cut from Kevin's pee-wee football team, Danny brings together a squad of picked-lasts and losers to prove to Kevin that he can still learn a lot from his brother.  Admission is FREE and the movie will begin at sundown.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!  Coolers are welcome, but we will also have a concession stand selling fresh popcorn, candy, and drinks.

MOVIE IN THE PARK - "HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3"

When the lonely Count Dracula goes on vacation with Mavis, his family and monster friends on the cruise ship Legacy, he immediately falls in love with the human Captain Ericka. However the mysterious woman has a secret that may jeopardize Dracula, his family and the other monsters. Who is Captain Ericka? Admission is FREE and the movie will begin at sundown.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!  Coolers are welcome, but we will also have a concession stand selling fresh popcorn, candy, and drinks.

HALLOWEEN FRIGHT NIGHT

Halloween Fright Night is a special movie night intended for adults.  The evening will include a double feature of horror movies which will be inappropriate for younger audiences.  Both movies are FREE and will be shown back-to-back on the event lawn at Clarksville's Gateway Park.  Children ages 13 & over will be allowed for the first movie, if accompanied by an adult.  Children under the age of 17 years old WILL NOT be allowed to stay for the second movie.

A QUIET PLACE

Two parents do what it takes to keep their children safe in a world full of creatures hunting every sound they can hear. Not a sound can be heard from the family hiding in silence, but all it takes is one noise and everything can go wrong.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

For reasons unknown, the recently deceased are rising from the grave as flesh-hungry zombies. Fleeing from the undead horde, a small group of survivors sequester themselves in a remote farmhouse, with no hope in sight
