Movies in the Park

Our summer "Movies in the Park" series is back for 2017.  We will be showing a movie on our giant inflatable screen on the first Friday of each month (May-October).  All movies begin at dusk, and all will be shown in Gateway Park.  Click the link below to visit our Movies in the Park page.  Sorry, no smoking, alcohol, or pets are allowed in the park.

Clarksville Family Campout

Enjoy a night under the stars at Clarksville’s Colgate Park.  Our popular Clarksville

Family Campout is back for 2017.  After you set up your campsite, walk over and spend the

afternoon at the Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center.  For just $5 per person, you get admission to the aquatic center, and you get to stay for an hour after the facility closes to the public.  Once the pool closes, join us around our community campfire to roast marshmallows, hot dogs, or whatever you feel like bringing.  No food will be available for purchase, so bring your own!

The fee to participate is just $10 per camp site.  One person age 21 or older must stay at each campsite, so children may not camp on their own. Quiet hours will begin at 10:00pm.

Clarksville Cruise-In and Concert

Calling all car lovers!  Join us for a night of cool rides and great music at Clarksville’s Gateway Park.

We are inviting owners of Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, and others to show off their rides in the Gateway Park parking lot.  There is no fee to participate in the cruise-in, and the first 150 participants will receive a dash plaque for their ride.

After taking a look at all the vehicles, head over to the event lawn for a FREE concert by “The Decades”.  They will be playing some of your favorite tunes from the 50’s, 60’s and beyond.

Be sure to bring a lawn chair for the concert!

Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to contact director Dr. Tim Glasscock at sglasscock@bellarmine.edu or concert coordinator John Gilkey at jgilkey@townofclarksville.com.

Touch-A-Truck and Movie Night

When you were a kid, did you ever see a cool truck on the road and wish you could get behind the wheel?

Your children will have the chance to do just that at our annual kids’ Touch-A-Truck event at Gateway Park.  Children will be able to get up close and personal with the cool trucks and construction equipment they see on the road everyday.  Vehicles include police cruisers, fire trucks, construction equipment, limousines, box trucks, and much more!

We will also have other activities like inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, and more!

No registration is required for this FREE event.

After Touch-A-Truck, stick around for our movie in Gateway Park.  We’ll be showing Disney’s “Moana” beginning at dusk.  Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair for the movie!
