Our list of special events is updated seasonally.  Some special events require registration in advance, so be sure to read the event description closely.

 

GUIDED NATURE HIKES

Explore the beauty of Clarksville's Lapping Park with Brian Vance, Volunteer Naturalist of the Falls of the Ohio State Park. Brian will share his knowledge of the park as we hike the trails. Wear your hiking shoes for these moderate hikes, rain or shine. Meet near Endris Lodge in the back of the park. Registration is not required for these hikes.

CLARKFEST "RUN FOR THE KIDS" 5K

The ClarkFEST “Run for the Kids” is an annual race benefiting the Clarksville Police Department’s “Shop with a Cop” program, as well as the WHAS Crusade for Children. Proceeds from the race will be split between those two organizations. The last event raised more than $11,000 for those groups. Each runner will receive a bib with timing chip and a t-shirt. There will also be awards for the top finishers, and prizes for other participants. The fee to participate is $25 for those wanting a short-sleeved shirt, and $30 for a long-sleeved shirt. The race will start and end at the Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center parking lot.

CLARKFEST 2021

Nothing brings a community together better than food, fun, and festivals! ClarkFEST is the Town of Clarksville’s largest annual festival. This year’s festival will be bigger and better than ever. The family-friendly event features a parade, car show, games, food booths, live music, inflatables, an arts & crafts market, and much more. The parade begins at 10:00am, and travels down Eastern Boulevard.  Festival activities begin at 11:00am. All entertainment is FREE to everyone! FALL HARVEST HAYRIDE

Celebrate the fall season by jumping on board one of our hay wagons for a ride through Clarksville’s Lapping Park. You will be surrounded by the beauty of the fall season as you travel deep into the back of the park. When you arrive at Endris Lodge, you will be invited to warm up by our campfires, while being entertained with songs from singers Cameron & Molly. You will also have a chance to purchase a s’mores kit and roast some marshmallows over our campfire! At 7:00pm, be sure to join us in the amphitheater for a live animal show with the folks from “Silly Safaris”. Your little ones will laugh while learning about some cool friends from the forest. Visitors should park at Wooded View Golf Course.  The fee for this event is one canned good per person, which will be donated to a local food bank.

GOBBLER GAMES

Gobble, gobble! Hey kids, here’s your chance to win a FREE frozen turkey for your Thanksgiving dinner! During this free event at Clarksville Middle School, kids will compete in a series of fun Thanksgiving themed games for a chance to win points. Games include: frozen turkey bowling, turkey toss, and the turkey waddle relay. The child in each age category with the most points will take home a frozen turkey for his or her family. Every participating child will also be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a frozen turkey. Our turkey game winners will not be eligible for the

raffle. Age Categories: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. All participants are encouraged to wear sneakers and socks. No black soles please.

REINDEER GAMES

Ho, Ho Ho! Do you think you have what it takes to be a member of Santa’s reindeer team? Join us at Clarksville Middle School to put your skills to the test. Teams will participate in numerous Christmas themed games which will definitely make you “merry and bright”. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. This FREE event is open to children ages 5-12. All participants are encouraged to wear sneakers and socks. No black soles please.
