Shelter Houses

Whether you’re planning a family gathering, community event, or a simple afternoon picnic, Clarksville Parks & Recreation offers a variety of park shelters to fit your needs. All shelters are open from dawn to dusk.


Rentable Park Shelters

Our rentable shelters are available from May 1 through October 31 and can be reserved for $75 per day (no partial-day rentals). The rental fee is due at the time of booking.

Flatwood Shelter – Lapping Park

Located within scenic Lapping Park, the Flatwood Shelter is an excellent spot for gatherings of up to 40 people. The shelter is conveniently situated near restrooms and playground equipment, offering both comfort and accessibility for visitors.

Restrooms are open during the season, and a porta potty is available during the off-season.

Colgate Park Shelter

Located just a short walk from the Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center, the Colgate Park Shelter offers the perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. Visitors can enjoy nearby amenities including a playground, basketball court, and four tennis courts.

There is no permanent restroom; however, a porta potty is available during the season.

Silver Creek Shelter in Lapping Park

Set within the natural beauty of Lapping Park, the Silver Creek Shelter offers a comfortable spot for small gatherings and group outings. The shelter accommodates up to 25 people and is conveniently located near the sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits—making it easy to mix relaxation with play.

Restrooms are open during the season, and a porta potty is available during the off-season.

Ray Lawerence Shelter

Ray Lawrence Park is a lively destination for outdoor recreation and family fun. The park features a basketball court, eight dedicated pickleball courts, and a playground—offering something for everyone to enjoy.

There is no permanent restroom; however, a porta potty is available year-round.


Non-Rentable Park Shelters

Our non-rentable park shelters offer convenient, shaded spaces perfect for picnics, casual gatherings, or a quick break during your visit. These shelters are available from dawn to dusk and are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that the shelter at the Little League Complex is only accessible when the park is open for games.

Ashland Shelter

Nestled along Riverside Drive, the Ashland Shelter House offers beautiful views of the Ohio River and a peaceful setting for gatherings of up to 30 people. The shelter is near a playground and provides a relaxing spot to enjoy the riverfront.

A restroom is open during the season.

Gateway Park Shelter

Gateway Park is a vibrant destination that offers something for everyone. The park features an adventure playground, a splash pad, and an expansive event lawn that hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. It’s also just a short walk from the Clarksville Little League Complex, making it a convenient and popular spot for families and visitors of all ages.

A restroom is open during the season.

Beechwood Shelter

Nestled near the intersection of Beechwood Drive and Coral Way, Beechwood Park offers a peaceful neighborhood setting with a playground and basketball court for visitors to enjoy. The shelter provides a comfortable spot for small gatherings and relaxation. As a neighborhood park, please note that parking is not available but is accessible from the Discovery Trail.

There is no permanent restroom at this location.

Little League Shelter – Gateway Park

The Clarksville Little League Complex is located within Gateway Park, in the heart of the community. This area offers a welcoming space for families and fans to gather on game days. The shelter, open only during scheduled games, provides a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the excitement of the games.
